3 Tacky & Unseemly Watches from the Sleazy 1970s

THE HUSTLER TIMEPIECE

1975 hustler magazine watch (1)

I can think of a lot of ways to describe a watch from a hardcore porn magazine, and “quiet elegance” isn’t one of them.  This timepiece advert ran in the 1975 issues of Hustler magazine.

THE TTF WATCH

TTF WATCH VINTAGE

Imagine ladies, asking a dude for the time, and he shows you this lovely timepiece.  I love that the ad describes it as a SUBTLE way to break the ice!

THE TTF WATCH, Part II – (Yes, it’s even worse.)

ClubInternational(UK) (1981)

This one not only tells you exactly what TTF stands for, but it also has some guy’s junk right there on the face of the watch!  As if that wasn’t bad enough, there’s a secret message that “throbs on and off”.  This advert is actually from 1981 – evidently, we hadn’t quite left the sleazy seventies behind just yet!
