Here at Flashbak we love Found Photos, those pictures all of us have in drawers and boxes. Many get tossed out when we move home, or someone dies. But better than that would be to send them to us. We relish these artefacts, the wonky, out-of-focus, guileless and badly composed snapshots. They’re not fusty totems of nostalgia, that deathly damp and soothing balm (often featuring horses and smelling of dried flowers) boxed up for sentimentalists to simper over in way no-one sane ever did at the time. They’re a look at life as it was: unprepared, lively, boisterous, fresh, spontaneous and fun.
