For grown-up Pepsi drinkers in the 1950s, life was what Americans hoped it would be like. You know: fun and satisfying. Men are masculine, with tight jaw-lines, parted hair and sun-darkened complexions. Women are fair, feminine and lithe. Both were were as compatible with one another as they were with the American dream.
