Over on Flashbak, you can read how the Internet killed Ceefax, that BBC infomation service with the Legoland graphics. It was called Ceefax, because it enabled viewers “see the facts” with no messing about.
What Ceefax and Teletext (the umbrealla terms for blocky tex-based informaion on the telly) could not do was smut. But it could try.
Those fine folks at Dangerous Minds have spotted these pages from Germany’s Teletext.
They are wholly ridiculous. But are they also alluring? Well, we suppose that if you are a desperado looking for rubber-insualted love-by-the-minute, pretty much anything will do.
