Brooklyn New York City 1970s-26 - from our story 'Brooklyn in Kodachrome – 1970s New York City In Color'

Brooklyn New York City 1970s

New Utrecht Ave Girls : Brooklyn Winter 1977 - 1978 Boro Park Winter 1977-1978. This was the beginning of The Storm we still talk about. Drifts ove 8ft high. These girls (not boys as I thought) let me take a nice 1st shot then got fresh with a snowball. See it at the cola sign on it's way to my Minolta XE-7 50mm 1.7? Ha! Ya missed. Note The Chaap-A-Nosh store Tel: UL1-5012 give them a ring - as if. The candy store looks exactly the same today down to the signage and window on 54th st. [update: That store is now, finally gone] My old house number was UL3-3183 three blocks away on 57th street. Funny how a photo just makes you ring up little details like that. I remember always rushing to developing and printing my snow pics ASAP to show people withing hours of taking them in color and black and white in the 70's in my darkroom. See my photo of this store in the year 2006 !
