Mr Steinberg’s Model: A 1940s Fetish Photography Mystery

In Newcastle on 22nd of January 1949, ‘Mr Steinberg’s Model’ was swaddled and tied up. We don’t know her name. All we know of Mr Steinberg is that he dropped film off for processing at one of Jack Turner’s chain of shops, the eponymous Turners Photography Ltd based at 7-15 Pink Lane, Newcastle, and then forgot to collect his photographs. Mrs Steinberg (is that you in the pictures?) also forgot, or thought better of it – or remains tied up somewhere in the British city?
