Henri Van Der Stok’s Zodiac Stars And Gods

The Dutch artist's creations speak of celestial power and glory

Dutch artist Henri van der Stok (1870-1946) was born in Indonesia and settled in the Hague, where he was a member of the city’s Pulchri Studio. He created these brilliant woodcuts of planetary gods and zodiac signs. As John Couthlart notes, van der Stok’s work trails that of Barney Bubbles, best known for his work for the band Hawkwind, and of American comic book artist, Jack Kirby.

We love them and have Henri van der Stok’s work available in the shop as postcards to collect and gift (each comes with a craft envelope) and high-quality prints.
