We’re back in 1980s New York City with Jeff Rothstein, walking the Lower East Side. We shop for yamulka’s at Weinfeld’s (now relocated to Brooklyn) and check out fashions at Modern Girls boutique in SoHo where New Wave ruled and along with the likes of Patricia Field, Einsteins and Ibiza, art and fashion and music merged.
We mooch past Fulton Fish Market. After 185 years of business the market moved from from its historic location at the South Street Seaport (along the East River waterfront at and above Fulton Street) in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan to the Bronx to in 2005.

I shot this in 1984, but lost my notes re location. It’s either East Village or Soho. Does anyone have a clue? Photo (c) Jeff Rothstein
