England Clint Eastwood at Heathrow - from our story 'The Sublime Cigar: The Great, Good and Bad Smoking Cubans In The 1960s'

American actor Clint Eastwood is seen on his arrival at Heathrow Airport, London on June 1, 1967, for the opening of his new western film A Fistful of Dollars. In the film, which was made in Italy, Clint plays the central figure, the man with no name, which has brought Clint fame throughout the Continent and America. Famous too, now are the three trademarks of the nameless gunman, his poncho, his short cigar, and his long gun. Here Clint is being met at the airport by Sandra Marshall, 19; Susan Melody, 19, and Anita MacGregor, 23, all clad in a ponchos. (AP Photo)
