Early Berlin Wall Construction - from our story 'The Building Of The Berlin Wall – 1961-1962'

Wall with barbed wire was set up by the West German refugee organization in front of the railway station in Schwerte, Germany on Dec. 13, 1961. It is to symbolize the situation in the divided city of Berlin. The sign at the wall reads “Today in Berlin -- Tomorrow here”. (AP Photo) PA-9301495
