Police and members of the public line Uxbridge, London, as a procession of 14 cars brings the three coffins of the policemen, shot on the 12th August, to St. Stephens Church for the funeral service. The three London police officers shot and killed in Braybrook Street, West London were PC Geoffrey Roger Fox, 41; Temporary Detective Constable David Stanley Bertram Wombwell, 25, and Detective Sargent Christopher Tippet Head, 30. Harry Roberts, John Duddy and John Witney were all convicted of murder and possession of firearms and sentenced to life imprisonment.
