One of the largest Jewish cemeteries in the world, situated on the slopes of the Mount of Olives, part of the hills of Bethlehem in Jerusalem on Jan. 19, 1939. It adjoins the famous Garden of Gethsemane where Christ was said to have been betrayed by Judas with a kiss. Hundreds of thousands of Jews, many of them victims of the present Arab revolt in the holy land, are buried in this hallowed spot. (AP Photo) Ref #: PA.11142790 Date: 19/01/1939
