Miss Popularity in the 1970’s: 35 Vintage Photos of Prom Queens & Their Groovy Court

It’s fascinating to look back at the “In Crowd” from days gone by.  What passed for good looks has certainly changed in the past forty-plus years.  The “Farrah hair” and the afro, the polyester spaghetti-strap gowns, the puffy lace sleeves, etc. were all in full effect in the late seventies; while the miniskirt and a more hippie aesthetic ruled the Homecoming Courts at the start of the decade.

So, lets have a look through some found photographs of prom and homecoming dances from the 1970s, and see what the royalty looked like.  Enjoy.
