Taken some time in 1970, these photographs transport us to a dance party in Snowridge, Alberta, Canada. Eventually, skiers moved on to bigger elevations at Banff and Kananaskis, but for a time Snowridge in Kananaskis Country (opened in 1967 and now known as Fortress Mountain) was a popular destination. And the lodge, designed by J.K. English with its huge circular fireplace in the centre, was the only place to be, literally.
